The Former Hyatt Regency Site Is Getting a Stunning New Look

One of downtown Sarasota's most recognizable waterfront properties is entering an exciting new chapter. The former Hyatt Regency Sarasota site is being redeveloped into Hyatt Centric Harborside, a modern mixed use destination that will combine luxury residences, upscale accommodations, and new dining experiences in one impressive waterfront tower.

Located at 1000 Boulevard of the Arts, the new development will overlook Sarasota Bay while sitting next to The Bay Park and Quay Commons. The project represents another significant investment in Sarasota's rapidly growing downtown and continues the area's transformation into one of Florida's premier waterfront destinations.

The property has already undergone a dramatic change. After serving visitors for decades, the former Hyatt Regency was cleared to make way for the new development. Today, construction is moving forward on a 20 story tower that will feature 174 hotel rooms alongside 117 luxury condominium residences.

The project is being developed by Kolter Urban, a company well known for creating high end residential communities throughout Florida. According to the developer, the recently released renderings closely represent the finished product that buyers and visitors can expect when construction is complete.

Designed with Sarasota's coastal setting in mind, the building will feature elegant interiors with warm wood finishes, terrazzo flooring, decorative lighting, tropical landscaping, and natural materials that create a welcoming waterfront atmosphere.

The Hyatt Centric hotel will occupy a large portion of the building, with guest rooms located on levels six through fourteen. The upper floors overlooking the harbor will feature luxury condominium residences, while the second residential wing along Boulevard of the Arts will be dedicated entirely to homeowners.

Although the hotel and condominiums share the same building, they have been carefully designed to operate independently. Separate entrances, elevators, lobbies, stairwells, and amenities will provide privacy for residents while allowing hotel guests to enjoy their own dedicated spaces.

Residents will have access to an impressive collection of amenities designed for both relaxation and convenience. Planned features include a private resort style pool, hot tub, fitness center, club room, business center, sports simulator, spa, outdoor kitchen, shaded cabanas, private dog park, outdoor gathering areas, and a residents' café.

Inside the homes, buyers can expect spacious open floor plans with private terraces, soaring ceilings, full height glass doors, European style cabinetry, quartz countertops, premium appliances, and luxurious bathrooms designed with comfort in mind.

The Hyatt Centric Harborside development reflects Sarasota's continued evolution as one of Florida's most desirable places to live, visit, and invest. With luxury residences, a world class hotel, exceptional amenities, and an unbeatable waterfront location, the project is expected to become another landmark addition to the city's skyline.

As new developments continue to reshape downtown Sarasota, projects like Hyatt Centric Harborside demonstrate the strong demand for luxury living and the ongoing investment that is helping transform Sarasota into one of the Gulf Coast's most sought after destinations.
